Lempäälä Property Maintenance and Technology LEKITEK Oy is an in-house company belonging to the Lempäälä municipal group, responsible for the municipality's cleaning, property maintenance, construction, landscaping, and sports facility services.

Lekitek employs about 120 professionals and had a revenue of approximately 8.5 million euros in 2022.

A budgeting model involving business area managers and the ambition to modernize financial planning tools challenged quality standards for financial planning and reporting in a new way

Before implementing Finadeck, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting at Lekitek were done mainly in Excel, where business area figures were compiled from different tabs using formulas. After this, budget data was transferred to the financial management software as a csv file.

Each business area manager already participated in budgeting for their own business area, which led to Excel errors becoming too great a possibility. In the forecasting process, all forecast data was formed in Excel so that actual month data for forecast months was manually transferred from the financial management software to Excel, which was then combined with a forecast modified from the end-of-period budget.

Lekitek conducted a thorough analysis of several financial planning and reporting software options before deciding which software would best serve their needs.

"We chose Finadeck because of its pre-built interfaces, extensive functionalities, clear implementation and pricing, ease of use, and their attitude towards considering development wishes. Additionally, we found it to be the most cost-effective of all options," Solmio says.

Lekitekillä vaakakupissa painoi myös se, että ohjelmisto taipuisi mahdollisesti jatkossa myös koko Lempäälän kuntakonsernin raportoinnin, budjetoinnin, ennusteiden teon ja konsolidoinnin tarpeisiin.

Lekitek ja Finadeck ovatkin käyttöönoton jälkeen suunnitelleet yhdessä muutamia toiminnallisuuksia kumppanimallilla, jonka myötä Lekitek on saanut toivomansa lisätoiminnallisuudet Finadeckiin ja samalla Finadeck on voinut kehittää ohjelmistoansa yhtä entistä paremmin asiakkaiden tarpeet huomioivaksi.

Esimerkiksi budjetoinnin ja ennusteiden kommentointimahdollisuuden myötä Lekitek sekä muut Finadeckin asiakkaat voivat kommentoida budjetti- ja ennustesoluja sekä tarkastella budjettia sekä ennusteita kaikkien liiketoiminta-alueiden osalta myös keskitetysti.

Finadeck's onboarding training and ease of use enabled smooth implementation

Finadeck's onboarding training was, according to Solmio, really good because it helped understand how the tool works. Solmio notes that Lekitek feels it was worth taking advantage of Finadeck's turnkey onboarding, where Finadeck's support team built all the necessary KPIs and reports according to Lekitek's wishes.

After onboarding training, Lekitek has been able to continue learning by building their own composite KPIs and report templates.

Toteumadatan päivittyessä ennusteelle automaattisesti ja toteumakuukausien jälkeisen ennustedatan ollessa valmiiksi Finadeckissa, turha manuaalinen Excel jumppa datan siirron suhteen on saatu poistettua. Käyttöönottokoulutuksen yhteydessä Finadeck rakensi Lekitekin kanssa yhdessä määritellyn budjetointi- ja ennusteprosessin mukaisen yksityiskohtaisen manuaalin budjetointiin ja ennusteiden tekoon sekä päivitykseen, jonka myötä kunkin liiketoiminta-alueen vetäjän on helpompi päivittää oman liiketoiminta-alueensa ennuste Finadeckiin.
